The Missing JSON Inspector Chrome Extension

inspect json documents the way you normally inspect javascript objects in the console.

Without any ugly decorations or useless features.

This simple extension detects when youre viewing json documents and allows you to switch between the original document and the json inspector via the page action icon that lives in your address bar.

The end result is very similar to what you get when viewing xml documents in your browser.
