Toggle to disable/enable HTML5 video.

.

Toggle to disable/enable html5 video.

.
A very rudimentary toggle that switches html5 video off or on. Useful for slow systems on which flash video uses less processing power than HTML5 video.

Currently the following about:config preferences are toggled:

  • media.ffmpeg.enabled
  • media.ffvpx.enabled
  • media.ogg.enabled
  • media.mp4.enabled
  • media.apple.mp4.enabled
  • media.webm.enabled

This extension merely toggles these preferences, so after you have toggled them with the toolbar button you will manually need to refresh web pages with video in it to see the effect.
