There are many activities we may do on the Internet, and most of them these days involve filling out forms. When you want to register as a member of any website or forum, you are usually required to submit some basic information about yourself in the registration form, such as your first and last name, email address, gender, phone number, and so on.

Even for simple tasks like downloading freeware, you may be expected to enter extensive and fairly personal information. Some online forms aren't too bothersome because they only ask for a few details, but others want to know virtually everything about you. Whether you want to fill out a form with true or fictitious information, they are so common that it becomes a highly time-consuming chore. Filling out forms might be much more aggravating than completing CAPTCHAs.

Some browsers, such as Chrome and Firefox, provide options to automatically fill in basic form data such as name, address, email, phone number, and credit card, although they are somewhat limited. A browser plugin, on the other hand, can be significantly more complex and save significantly more data for when forms require more than just standard information. Typio Form Recovery Chrome Extension

It's more difficult than it used to be to mistakenly lose all of your work. Apps have auto-save, and Chrome will warn you if you dismiss a tab with unsaved work. However, if you press enter too quickly or experience a crash, you may lose a significant amount of writing. It may be a Facebook status update, an application form, or a blog post. Typio Form Recovery, a Chrome addon, can save what you write and then paste it back in.

When you instal Typio, you'll notice a small blue button in the corner of each web form. You'll also notice a green stripe at the top of the page that lights whenever Typio stores new text. In the settings, turn off the stripe. You can recover the deleted text by clicking the blue button, using the customizable keyboard shortcut, or selecting it from the right-click menu.

You can disable any or all of these features if any of them become bothersome. For example, I just use a right-click to open Typio. I was tired of seeing the blue button on every site form, including tweets, logins, and searches. (By default, Typio does not save passwords or payment card information, but this can be changed.)

You can instruct Typio to save entries for a specific number of days. When you initially launch Typio, it displays a basic menu with your most recent entries. To explore a more extensive menu, select “Browse all entries.” Nothing is transferred to Typio; everything is saved locally. (You can look at the source code.)
