BibTexMe Chrome Extension

 This extension has two purposes:

-> cite web-page/pdf WITH publication-date and Access-date!
-> find sources on SPRINGER and WORLDCAT and cite them with a single click. Simply mark the search-terms in your text and hit the button!
-> customizable text 'Accessed on:' for the access date in online sources

Remember: you need usepackage{hyperref} for links to work properly!


1. If you want to cite a web-page or pdf you currently have opened, you can simply click the button and it copies a BibTex entry to the clipboard. It fetches title, url, accessed on date.

It also gets the publishing year and month by scraping web.archive.org for the exact url!

2. If you want to cite or find a source, you just mark the title/author name/doi or whatever, and press the button while your text is marked. The extension compiles a list of Sources matching your search. By clicking on a source it automatically creates a matching BibTex Entry in your clipboard. 

Currently it is capable of searching Springer and Worldcat(scraping) but further implementation would be interesting.

3. The Text 'Accessed on:' in your bibtex entry is customizable through the Options!

Now you just have to paste your entries somewhere in your bib file and voila you can cite them as usual!

How to install BibTexMe chrome extension in chrome Browser

You can Follow the below Step By Step procedure to install the BibTexMe Chrome Extension to your Chrome Web browser.

• Step 1: Go to the Chrome webstore https://chrome.google.com/webstore or download the extension BibTexMe Chrome Extension Download from https://pluginsaddonsextensions.com
• Step 2: Now search for the BibTexMe in Chrome Webstore Search and click on the search button.
• Step 3: click on the BibTexMe Chrome Extension Link
• Step 4: in the next page click on the Add to Chrome button to Download and Install the BibTexMe extension for your Chrome Web browser .
