Netflix CC Remover Chrome Extension

 Tiny extension that removes forced closed captions from Netflixs Subtitles.


Removes Closed Captions, Hearing Impaired (HI) Subtitles, such as: [MUSIC PLAYING],  (ENGINE REVVING), ♪ Im singing in the rain ♪.

Comes with button to show closed captions, it appears at the rightmost corner of the omni-box, clicking it toggles CC On/Off.

I cant provide you with a screenshot of this working as the image would be copyrighted, as would the subtitle itself Id imagine.


This small extension came out of my own need for something like it, I enjoy watching TV Shows and Movies with subtitles, and Netflix has English subs for most of their catalogue, unfortunately most of it is Closed Captioned, I got annoyed by it so I worked out a RegEx expression to get rid of the CC part.
