brass reader is an rss feed reader that runs in the chrome browser.

It is a client side app without any server requirements.

Feeds are downloaded by the extension from the feed publishers servers, but the feeds and items are stored locally by the browser.

You can download your feeds and folders from google reader with one click.

Brass reader is open source software with an MIT license.
