Metro-style wikimedia search widget. It supports multiple languages. Resizable up to 2x2 squares. [ANTP].
This is a widget for the awesome new tab page extension.
It was originally designed as a personal minimalistic project, but many features have been subsequently added.
The search query is submitted by pressing Enter.
Clicking the tile itself will direct the user to the main page of any Wikimedia site in any language selected at a given time.
The user can change the default language of the search from English to another language by using the options page.
Marking languages as Favorites will make them appear at the beginning of the dropdown list, where they can be easily reached.
There is also the option of showing *only* the favorites, which can be activated by unchecking the "Show non-favorites" checkbox in the options page.
Leaving the "Show non-favorites" checkbox unchecked and having no languages marked as favorites for your default wiki makes the whole language selection dropdown box in the tile disappear.
Any changes made in the options page can be seen the next time you refresh or open the Awesome New Tab Page.
The default size of the tile is of 1 square, but it can be resized to up to 2x2 squares.
Without the Awesome New Tab Page, this extension does nothing useful.
