Arxiv.org PDFs are now interactive.
This extension makes papers interactive by opening arxiv.org pdfs in the bytez smartreader instead of Adobe Reader.
Who this is for:
The extension is for data scientists and machine learning researchers / practitioners.
How it works:
When you're surfing the web and click a link to open a pdf hosted on the https://arxiv.org domain, this extension will check if the pdf is a machine learning paper. If it is, the extension will then open the pdf in the Smart Reader, instead of Adobe Reader.
Permissions required:
The extension needs one permission (declarativeNetRequest) to redirect "*://arxiv.org/pdf/*" to the bytez reader. Chrome will warn you that the extension can "Block content on any page you visit". In this case, the warning is inaccurate, since the extension is scoped to "*://arxiv.org/pdf/*". The extension follows chrome's best practices and is open source (https://github.com/Bytez-com/extension); allowing you, and everyone else, to contribute and see what's under the hood :)
We hope you love interactive papers ??
