1. click windows key and lookup 'Notifications & actions settings'

2. Scroll down up to "get notifications from these senders" section

3. Look for chrome/brave

4. Switch from "off" to "on"

For MacOS:

To change these preferences, choose apple menu > System Preferences, then click notifications. Select Do Not Disturb or an app on the left, then view or change settings on the right.
